I love writing haiku poems while exploring universal experiences we all share. It is a way to hold me steady with my Less Is More mantra… I used Haiku to help young writers navigate through their respective writing assignments to help them get to the center of their creations.
As I reflect upon 2024, the reading of books, the watching of Love Revolutions in our communities, holding space for all communities, including my own Lewiston/Auburn, Maine, as we wept together, and now heal, after Oct. 25th. I went back to look at my Haikus. I counted over 50. Some became songs, some waiting to reveal the next steps in my journey. Here is one for us: a series I call Mirrors
Do you not believe
That our walk will intertwine
Now we walk as one
